A pendulum swings from one side to the next, never in one place for long but always stuck to its roots. Such is the case of Sudbury, Ontario native Tony Sour. Tony’s passion for music was kickstarted after getting his hands on his first DJ controller (maybe change this terminology) when he was only 14 years old. It wasn’t long before the idea of a career in music began to nurture in the back of his mind, lingering for years. It was when Tony was halfway through an economics degree that he finally hit his breaking point, reaching an ultimatum – continue down a promising path, or risk it all in pursuit of a dream. Choosing to follow his gut, Tony said goodbye to his family, packed his bags and set off to pursue a career in the music industry.
After settling in Kelowna B.C. and completing the Electronic Music Production program at The Centre for Arts & Technology, Tony founded Blue Label Records. Two years later, with a little help from his friends, the Label has become a small but growing success, boasting a number of promising acts and hosting several shows in the BC and Toronto areas. Throughout this success, Tony has been quietly and diligently honing his craft in his home studio, biding his time and fine tuning his sound.
Never one to rest on his laurels, Tony has been working harder than ever to develop his label, his sound and himself. After years of patiently waiting and painstaking work, the time is finally right. With a debut record nearing completion and a new single on the way, Tony’s time has finally come to shake the world of electronic music with his unique talents.
